Agios Pantes - Kilomenos - Agios Pantes Hike

Itinerary description

This is can be one of the hardest hikes on Zakynthos, depending on which way we go.
If you follow this route its not too bad but if you go the opposite way then the route can be challenging due to the incline past the quarry.
It is also open to the elements the majority of the route so if its a sunny warm day you will definitely need plenty of refreshments, sun cream and a hat. We will go past the Monastery Yperagathou with Interesting piece of WWII history. “The first station of the Allied Military Mission to the Ionian Islands was established here during German occupation and operated from 26 April 1944 to the liberation
The trail is mainly on dirt tracks that will have a lot of lose stone and could be slippery because of it. In other places we will be hiking through olive groves towards the end of the hike and pine wooded areas near the middle of the trail.
This hike is for the physically fit people and not for the under average fitness.
