Itinerary description

Hiking to the top of the mountain in Pantokratoras in Zakynthos is a moderate to hard hike. The trek takes us along a zig zag trek passing two small caves to the top where you have fantastic views of most of the island including amazing views of Laganas Bay. The trek is difficult in places and is advised for the more experienced hikers as the trail is of loose stone and lots of burnt stumps sticking out of the ground from the recent fires.
After reaching the top we head down along the trail through some burnt wooded areas and into a small green valley where the trail is slightly overgrown with bushes and onto the dirt road.
We follow this dirt road until we reach an area that we trek down into the wildereness of wild bushes and trees until we get to the olive groves where we amble along back to the staring point.
